The most downloaded mobile apps categories on Android are Games (64.5%), Tools (5.5%), Photo (4.9%), Social network (4.4.%), Entertainment (3.8%), Other (16.9%). The total number of mobile apps downloaded in Vietnam in 2020 reached 2.78 billion apps, an increase of 40 million downloaded apps compared to 2018. Specifically, the consumer expenditures on mobile apps increased by 179.4% compared to 2018. Mobile internet users are predicted to reach 66.84 million in 2020 (accounting for 71% of the total population) and increase to 82.15 million in 2025.

Till the end of 2020, the total population in Vietnam reached 97.58 million people, an increase of 1,098 million people, equivalent to an increase of 1.14% compared to 2019, according to the General Statistics Office.
